Frank’s 3rd Leg!

I have been so busy that I’m years behind editing the 3rd and 4th leg videos of Frank’s solo sail from Gosport England to Corpus Christi Texas. This weekend I managed to put together a video of one day, from Dawn To Dusk, March 2nd 2015.
The audio is poor. There is so much background noise on a sailboat, which you tune out when sailing. Lines banging and all sorts of other noises, plus the GoPro has a very limited microphone. I’d assumed it would be better. Next time I will wear a better mic.

Sadly, WordPress has reduced the definition so much that I can either make the video postage stamp size, or bigger but a blurry mess. The original idea was a spoof on One Day In The Life Of Ivan Denisovich”, a movie I have never seen but which was extensively advertised in the flicks when I was a schoolboy (I went to the movies most weekends back then).

  1. Managed to DL Video And Audio as Two Separate Files…
    Saved for Posterity.
I Only wish I had my Grandad’s Diary (James Meredith Peacock) from his Journey to the Antarctic with Scott.

I Have Yet to Find Any Records of him via the Rapidly Memory Wiping of 👀gle.

    • Hi Cassie. Wow! That is just awesome! The Antarctic, and your Grandad, I mean. Strong genes on that side of your family: 40 Woodbine a day and living to 99. Impressive! I’ll upload the full file to dropbox, if you are interested. Slightly better audio. I hope you are well. Fine here. xx

  2. G’Day my Brother from another Mother!

    Wonderful Video Diary…
I was Able to Full Screen It on My End and Up the Res to 1080

    I Only Wish I Could Download it…😢

    • Oh well done! Somewhere on this site are the first two legs: Falmouth to Spain and then Spain to a tiny Island off Madeira called Porto Santo, for 12 hours to shimmy up the mast and rescue the halyard. Then i need to do leg 3 (this is an excerpt!) to St Croix USVI (instead of Tortola) and then finally St Croix to Corpus Christi. Sadly, I did a regular video diary on leg 3 but can’t hear much of what I say!!!
      Love and Hugs!
      xx
